Winemaking village path, no. 63

Make sure when choosing your route that it matches your fitness level. Check if the gastronomy businesses you want to visit along the way are open. Pack your charged mobile phone and maps in your backpack.

Sturdy footwear, functional clothing, sun and rain protection, maps, optionally telescopic poles, first aid kit (blister plasters), sufficient provisions (snacks, muesli bars, fruit, water).

From the roundabout at Kornplatz towards the church and immediately turn left after the bridge over the Loisbach. Follow the Loisbach for about 1.5 km. At the bridge on the road, where Schloss Haindorf lies to the left, turn right and follow the road for about 1 km to Gobelsburg. At the intersection with the Gobelsburg main street, turn left. At the small park at Josef-Steininger-Platz, turn right into Schlossstraße and after just 100 m turn left towards Kellergasse. At the end of Kellergasse (Weingut Burger), keep right, turn right after 150 m and follow the road past the Hiatahütte for 1 km.
At the intersection by the Infopoint, turn right to return to the town area of Gobelsburg. Follow the road "Weinstraße" straight ahead for about 750 m. In the town center by Café-Bäckerei Kirschner, turn left twice and follow Schlossstraße for 500 m. At the intersection of Schlossstraße / Güterweg Spiegelgraben, turn right and follow the hollow way for about 500 m. At the intersection by the "Spiegelkreuz", turn left and at the next intersection turn right (detour to the Spiegel viewpoint on the left). Follow the path about 1 km back to the town area of Langenlois. Cross Wiener Straße. At the intersection by the Loisbach, turn left and follow Michael-Zwickl-Zeile back to the starting point in the center of Langenlois.

From Vienna: Danube bank motorway A22 towards Stockerau, continue on S5 towards Krems to the exit Fels am Wagram and on B34 to Langenlois.

From the west: West motorway A1 towards Vienna until St. Pölten, continue on S33 and B37 to Krems and on B218 to Langenlois.

Regular regional train connections between Langenlois and Hadersdorf (connection to Vienna), Krems, and the Kamptal (fahrplan.oebb.at).

Plan enough time to explore the winemaking village of Gobelsburg, taste wines directly from the winemakers, and stop in one of the cozy heurigers.
