The family has been rooted in viticulture and the wine village of Mittelberg for generations. Of course, their ancestors still had mixed farms and did not focus directly on viticulture. This was changed by the most experienced generation on the farm: Herbert and Erna Gruber. They recognized the potential in viticulture and built up the winery step by step. The family business currently cultivates around eight hectares of vines. Particular attention is paid to careful and environmentally conscious cultivation of the soil and, of course, the vines, which extends over the entire year. The Hauer family reaps the reward for this painstaking work every year in the fall, when the grapes can be processed to the highest quality.
